Purchased by Pyne Gould Guinness in February 2003 this Division operates predominantly in the South Island where it offers a “full service” package to farmers and horticulturists.

Irrigation System Design & Construction

The designing and installation of “turnkey” irrigation, pumping projects, for agriculture and horticulture is the primary function of the business. The rapid increase in demand for irrigation in general, and the need to achieve higher efficiency of water use has driven the operation over the past decade. The Division has the personnel and the facilities to undertake projects from relatively simple lifestyle block projects to the largest rural or horticultural projects costing many hundreds of thousands of dollars. The combination of sound engineering, proven experience, excellent facilities and direct access to the best irrigation technology from around the world has made this Division a leading supplier of complex irrigation and pumping solutions.

Service and Repair

The Division provides full servicing and repair support for the all types of irrigation systems and products. The service section of the business is a specific commitment to our customers and is made available on farm via a fleet of service vehicles staffed by trained engineers. Whether it is under the terms of a service agreement or on an “as required” basis the I & P service team can keep your irrigation system operating at peak efficiency.

Agency Operations

A number of the world’s major irrigation equipment manufacturers choose to make their products available to the New Zealand farmers and growers via PGG irrigation & pumping. Key agency lines include Caprari turbine and submersible pumps, Valley pivot & linear irrigators, OCMIS hard hose irrigators, and NaanDan micro and drip irrigation products, RI travelling boom and big gun irrigators plus Briggs boom irrigators, Angus and Snaptite irrigation hose.
